Megan Young returns to prime time TV soon as the new Marimar... aw! >.< I love Megan Young. I've followed her since she was a kapamilya artist. I became a certified fan when she starred on TV5 Misibis Bay. From there I followed her journey from Miss World Philippines 2013 to Miss World 2013, where she was proclaimed winner. Yey! It was a momentous occasion bagging the first Miss World title for the Philippines. >.<
I met Megan Young in person early this year. I loved her even more. She's not only beautiful, she's also very nice in person. I love it that she appreciates her fans. >.< I'm excited that Megan will be back on prime time starting this Monday, August 24th as the new Marimar on GMA Kapuso network. I will surely be watching out for her! >.<

Hope Elizabeth Soberano.. now more popularly known as Liza Soberano.. is truly one of showbiz's prettiest faces. I first noticed her way back when she first starred on an afternoon series as Jake Cuenca's younger sister. Back then, I remember she was known as Hope Soberano.
I'm actually quite happy that she has graduated from minor roles, esp. playing the third wheel to the KathNiel tandem. Forevermore TV series seems to be faring well on the primetime TV race. I must admit that I started following the series way back when it started. I stopped following it when the going got too rough for the good people of La Presa. I somehow didn't quite like the way the story went that time. I started watching again when a new beginning was introduced back in February. I think you'll call that the Book 2.
Well, Liza's being launched in a loveteam, which seems typical for the younger artists these days. It seems that they needed a tandem in order to sustain popularity. Personally, I'm all out for watching fresh and new tandems every so often. I hope that Liza Soberano also gets paired with other leading men. At least, she got the chance to be paired with Daniel Padilla before. Now, I'm quite hoping that ABS-CBN management would also explore the Liza Soberano-Diego Loyzaga tandem. I kinda liked the pairing.. and it's also the reason why I'm following Forevermore TV series once again. I'm sure some fanatics would react violently, but this is after all my opinion. Hey, I'm a viewer and I simply want to be entertained. Plus, I'd rather watch my fave artists grow in their crafts and not be limited by tandems alone. I'm sure it would be good for their career in the long run.

I've been too busy with life that I've hardly had time to maintain this blog. However, the recently held Star Magic Ball 2014 made me want to post some updates on this blog. I'm definitely choosing some of my favorites to share here. Credits go to the owner of the photo.
When I saw photos of her circulating around Instagram, my initial reaction was WHOA! I really like her a lot and meeting her in person and having a photo opp with her will definitely be a dream come true. I'm talking about none other than Miss World 2013, Megan Young. I think her gown is truly awesome and she definitely exudes a "Queen of the World" aura during the ball.
Va-va-voom voluptuous figure of Bea Alonzo in an Ezra Santos gown during the Star Magic Ball 2013. Don't you love that gown on her? I know I do. Well, Bea Alonzo is still one of the best dramatic actresses around. Fresh from her successful romantic comedy movie with DingDong Dantes, Enrique Gil, and Liza Soberano, I'm sure Bea is ready for her next project. But I wonder what it would be..... Her last teleserye (A Beautiful Affair) didn't last that long... and to think it was with John Lloyd Cruz! I wonder if Bea and real life beau Zanjoe Marudo would ever star together in a teleserye? They did come out in a short episode of 24/7 In Love (movie). I guess we'll need to wait for 2014 to find out what's next for Bea Alonzo!

Awarded Moet and Chandon Fabulous Pair award during the Star Magic Ball 2013, Kim Chiu and love tandem leading man Xian Lim continue to gather other recognition. If I'm not mistaken, they also got the ASAP Pop Love Team award. It's good to see Kim Chiu bounce back and also good to see Xian Lim finally make a breakthrough.
Coming from a successful movie, KimXi tandem may be working on yet another teleserye. Isn't that awesome? But I would love to see Kim Chiu also paired with other leading men. I love Kim's Pepsi Herrera gown during the Star Magic Ball 2013. Now that's what I'd call a ball gown!

I loved Kathryn Bernardo's gown during Star Magic Ball 2013, made by none other than the iconic Francis Libiran who also made Miss World 2013 Megan Young's coronation night gown. Kathryn stars in prime time TV show "Got to Believe" opposite Daniel Padilla. The two were awarded Couple of the Night during the ball.
I'd say among the teens, these two are leading the pack so to speak. Their box office appeal will be tested once again as they have an upcoming horror movie "Pagpag" this coming Metro Manila Film Festival. I'd say this year's filmfest is one of the best with lots of movies that I would want to watch!!!

Congratulations to PMPC Star Awards for TV Best Actress Marian Rivera! I don't get to watch her often but I do know that she's a pretty good actress. My daughter and I last watched her on "Kung Fu Divas," her movie with Ai-Ai de las Alas. Plus, she also guested in a number of shows on ABS-CBN Kapamilya channel during the movie's promotion. It was a surprisingly good and entertaining movie. Love the fight scenes which were well directed in my opinion. Anyway, Marian Rivera was the featured cover girl on Star Studio Magazine October 2013 issue. These two pages were scanned from that issue. No copyright infringement intended. Perhaps in the future Marian can also star in a movie opposite any kapamilya actor, since DingDong Dantes has already made a couple of movies with kapamilya leading ladies. A new combination is really good given the right project.
