I think comediennes like Pokwang have all the fun! They get to be funny yet dress up to be elegant as the rest of the belles of the ball! I actually like her sense of style and the funny get ups she would have on her daily noontime show. There truly is never a dull moment when Pokwang is around.

Kaye Abad

It's good to see Kaye Abad make a comeback after quite some time. I liked her character Pepper on Precious Hearts Romances. I wonder what happened to the Kaye Abad - Guji Lorenzana loveteam that was cooked up as a result of the romance series? KayJi as the tandem is fondly called should make another comeback. I think the last time I watched Kaye was as antagonist to Shaina Magdayao on Alyna. I think she did a great job there and hope she'll be given more challenging projects.

Bangs Garcia and Desiree del Valle

Bangs Garcia was launched in "Palos" to complete the love triangle with Jake Cuenca and Roxanne Guinoo. It was talked about then as Roxanne apparently got jealous of her and even referred to her as "that girl." Anyway, we all know how that turned out. Bangs did a good job as antagonist to Cristine Reyes on "Kristine." She's pretty sexy too. We do need more antagonists who look good.

Desiree del Valle is usually cast as an antagonist in most TV shows. She actually plays the role too well. She's part of the cast of "Nasaan Ka Elisa?" (remake of a foreign telenovela) as a detective. Perhaps this time around, she doesn't get to play the bad guy -- or gal for that matter.

Nikki Gil

Philippine showbiz fans love reel and real life couples. Nikki Gil and Billy Crawford really look good together as a couple. They're both good performers too. Nikki is pretty good in some of her acting performances on TV. I liked it when she was paired with Coco Martin in one afternoon soap opera. Nikki and Billy are both good TV show hosts as well.

Lovi Poe and Heart Evangelista

GMA Network Kapuso star Lovi Poe was escorted to this year's Star Magic Ball by Jake Cuenca. The two worked together in a movie project "My Neighbor's Wife" by Regal Films. It is pretty controversial as Jake recently came from a break-up with Melissa Ricks. Lovi is the daughter of late movie legend Fernando Poe Jr. She's a good actress and singer too.

Another GMA Network Kapuso star Heart Evangelista made an appearance at the Star Magic Ball this year. Heart is a former Star Magic artist and also a former ABS-CBN Star Magic talent. She was involved in some controversy with Marian Rivera, a prized talent of the Kapuso network. Plus, her former co-manager Annabelle Rama got mad at her for not renewing her contract with the latter. Does her appearance in this year's ball mean she's planning to go back? I'm not sure how I'll take that. I used to like her till she broke up with Jericho Rosales.

Vina Morales

One of the loveliest faces in Philippine showbiz, a great artist and wonderful performer, it's great to see Vina Morales back on track. I enjoy watching her world-class performances. I think she's doing great in her role as the devious aunt of Elisa on "Nasaan Ka Elisa?" We truly need gorgeous looking antagonists on tv. Vina is such a breeze to watch, perfect for her role too.

Andi Eigenmann

Andi Eigenmann had to take a leave of absence after finishing "Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin". Hopefully, the "Agua Bendita" star can bounce back to revive her fame once she has become a mom. This was taken before Andi was launched into stardom via the "Agua Bendita" remake.
