Star Magic Ball 2013 : Kim Chiu

Awarded Moet and Chandon Fabulous Pair award during the Star Magic Ball 2013, Kim Chiu and love tandem leading man Xian Lim continue to gather other recognition. If I'm not mistaken, they also got the ASAP Pop Love Team award. It's good to see Kim Chiu bounce back and also good to see Xian Lim finally make a breakthrough. 

Coming from a successful movie, KimXi tandem may be working on yet another teleserye. Isn't that awesome? But I would love to see Kim Chiu also paired with other leading men. I love Kim's Pepsi Herrera gown during the Star Magic Ball 2013. Now that's what I'd call a ball gown!

Throwback photo. Scanned from Star Studio Magazine July 2012 issue. Kim Chiu wears Francis Libiran when she accepted her award for being Princess of Philippine TV. Indeed, a well deserved award. Kim is often seen on Kris TV as co-host of Kris Aquino. Aside from that, she's fresh from the success of her first movie with Xian Lim, a movie adaptation of the book written by Ramon Bautista (Bakit Di Ka Crush Ng Crush Mo?). I believe the popularity of KimXi tandem has surpassed that of Kimerald.

I wonder what's Kim's next project on TV and the big screen. I hope she doesn't get tied down to KimXi projects only. It would be good to see new team ups and tandems from time to time. Just my two cents... >.<

Star Magic Ball 2012 -- Kim Chiu

Kim Chiu wears Edwin Tan to the 2012 Star Magic Ball. Kim's fashion sense does amaze me. I guess she's fast becoming another fashionista in the making. Being tall and slim has its advantages indeed.

Kim Chiu is one of the few stars that are always visible so to speak. Just earlier in the year, her series "Binondo Girl" ended and here she is starring in another one "Ina, Kapatid, Anak" with Maja Salvador, Enchong Dee, and Xian Lim among others.

Kim is also part of the cast of 24/7 in Love. I believe it's her reunion project with former loveteam Gerald Anderson.

We've seen Kim Chiu mature right before our eyes. Today, she is one of the finest young actresses in local showbiz. From her recent movie, "The Healing" with Gov. Vilma Santos, she will soon be in another prime time TV soap opera "Ina, Kapatid, Anak" with Maja Salvador, Enchong Dee, Xian Lim, and more.

Kim Chiu who was last seen in "Binondo Girl" will soon star in another primetime TV soap opera titled "Ina, Kapatid, Anak" with a stellar cast that includes her close friend Maja Salvador with Enchong Dee and Xian Lim, who both starred in the movie "The Reunion." Kim is currently being linked to Xian and they already have a loveteam nickname called KimXi.

Maja Salvador will star with Kim Chiu in upcoming soap opera "Ina, Kapatid, Anak" opposite Enchong Dee. The latter was the former leading man of Erich Gonzales. I have yet to see if the tandem between Maja and Enchong will be a hit. I kinda liked Maja with Matteo Guidicelli, but apparently the two have headed splitsville.

Jewel Mische wears John Herrera

Jewel Mische seems to be absent from the limelight since her transfer to her new network. She was last seen in "Maria del Barrio" playing villain to the loveteam of Erich Gonzales and Enchong Dee. She is rumored to be dating Jason Abalos. I wonder when her next show "Isla" will be shown.

Teleserye Posters 3

"Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo" was a star-studded telenovela that starred Queen of All Media Kris Aquino as Kim Chiu's mom. Coco Martin was just one of the supporting casts then. He has since gone on to star in his own TV series. The same thing with then newcomer Jessy Mendiola who was Coco Martin's love interest in the series. This was a pretty good soap as it combined drama and action. Kim's character was a breather too as it featured her as a rebellious daughter, a role she rarely plays.

Dahil May Isang Ikaw was nominated in the 2010 International Emmy Awards in  the Telenovela category and Sid Lucero for Best Performance By An Actor for his role as Alfred "Red" Ramirez. This was also the reunion project for former loveteam Jericho Rosales and Kristine Hermosa. Lorna Tolentino also made a comeback in this project. I remember there was an issue with Lorna and Chin Chin in one of the confrontational scenes of the show too. Karylle's portrayal of her character was pretty good, but I haven't watched her in a local drama in a while.

Kim Chiu -- Wedding Gowns

Last Friday's finale of "My Binondo Girl" featured Kim Chiu wearing a wedding gown very similar to the one worn by Princess Kate. It was very lovely indeed. But then again, I would consider Kim Chiu as one of the luckiest young actresses as we have previously seen her wearing the loveliest wedding gowns in her past TV series.

Time was when primetime drama princess Kim Chiu was just starting out. I wonder if you remember her from these pictures... ^_^

Here's a pictorial picture from "Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo," another Kimerald telenovela that also starred Kris Aquino, Maricar Reyes, Albert Martinez, Gabby Concepcion, Coco Martin, and Jessy Mendiola.

Kim Chiu and Maja Salvador -- Bridal Gowns

Two of the hottest local actresses, Kim Chiu and Maja Salvador. Both wore Camille Garcia bridal gowns on the cover of Wedding Insights Magazine. Kim starred in the recently concluded "My Binondo Girl" where she wore another lovely wedding gown -- soon to be featured here too. Maja will star in the upcoming movie "My Cactus Heart" and new afternoon telenovela "Lumayo Ka Man Sa Akin."

Teleserye Posters 2

The star-studded sequel to the popular "Maging Sino Ka Man" telenovela that left some memorable lines from Sam Milby and Anne Curtis. Their romance also supposedly also started during the first series. But if there's one tandem I would want to watch on TV again, it would be Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz. 

"Tayong Dalawa" was another star-studded telenovela. Agot Isidro's performance was outstanding. The ending (with Rosanna Roces and Enchong Dee) was rather strange though. They probably thought of a sequel but never pushed through. And Coco Martin, from being second lead, has now become one of the most sought after leading men. 

Kim Chiu - My Binondo Girl

Primetime TV's drama princess Kim Chiu is amusing as Jade / Yuan in My Binondo Girl. I wonder how long this teleserye will run. So far, they've added a new twist and introduced another character in the show played by Maja Salvador. I wonder if they will play on the team up of Jade and Andy. Personally I'm more for Jade and Onyx tandem, but it's wait and see for now. It makes me wonder how Kim could stay so slim and fit in her tiny dresses shown above. LOL! ^_^

More Awards Night

More pictures found from various past awards nights. Seen above: Kim Chiu, Toni Gonzaga, and Angel Locsin. I would love to see Kim Chiu receive more awards esp. for acting as she has turned into one fine actress since her PBB Teen days. Toni Gonzaga is undoubtedly a multi-awarded personality as I consider her to be the finest host among her generation of stars. Angel shown above receiving her first acting award from PMPC. 

Kim Chiu

Kim Chiu has come a long way since winning Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition back in 2006. Back then, she's just another new teen star playing mostly teeny bopper roles. She has indeed blossomed into a lady.

Kim is known for her Barbie-like gowns. I find her cute in this one. She's indeed one of the princesses of ABS-CBN.

Kim looks sexier and more matured in last year's Star Magic Ball. I personally think she needs to put on a little more weight as she looks so thin. That's Gerald Anderson in the background -- Kim's long-time love team partner. However, the two apparently split up. Now they're working on separate projects. Both are being teamed up with other artists.

Here's Kim now in this year's Star Magic Ball. She's still skinny, albeit more matured-looking. I believe she has grown into a fine actress. I haven't been able to watch her current show "Binondo Girl" but I was able to watch the first week marathon re-runs and think she's doing a great job in it.  I hope she gets more exciting roles in the near future.
