Call this a throwback photo. Scanned from Star Studio Magazine July 2012. For me, Anne Curtis is one of the certified "fashionistas" among local female celebrities. It seems she can pull off almost anything she wears.

She wore a simple white gown by Francis Libiran when she accepted her Box Office Queen award for "No Other Woman." Anne's a pretty good actress and I think she should star in another prime time TV series. The last one she starred in ended rather too soon (Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw). I also hope that she stars on the big screen soon. 

Anne Curtis -- Controversial Birthday Number

I don't always get to watch ASAP in its entirety every Sunday, so it's no surprise that I missed out on Anne Curtis's controversial birthday production number. I also wouldn't have gotten curious if it didn't hound the local news about her controversial super revealing gown. (Disclaimer: Photos are from screen caps of said production number. I searched for it on YouTube 'coz I wanted to know what the hype was all about.) Here are the screenshots:

My initial reaction was "Wow!" Anne Curtis has been known to don really sexy and sultry gowns in the past and she has always managed to pull it off. I think the controversy started 'coz some people speculated that Anne wasn't wearing any undies. Personally, I don't think it was done in bad taste. It was just consistent with the overall sexy production number. Perhaps if it wasn't on a noontime family variety show such as ASAP, people would not rave about it. As it is, they will probably be stricter on sexy numbers next time around. Too bad huh? ^_^

Kris Aquino and Anne Curtis in a New Teleserye

Anne Curtis -- sexy, daring, and the popular "Dyosa" (goddess) of local showbiz stars once again in an upcoming teleserye with Kris Aquino and Robin Padilla. She's truly one of the most visible leading lady these days and has now been dubbed as the Box-Office Queen after the huge success of her movies in the box-office. 

On the other hand, queen of all media Kris Aquino who has not made any teleserye shows in the recent years is now making a major comeback in "Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw." The show has a powerhouse cast that also includes Robin Padilla as the coveted leading man of both Kris and Anne. 

The trailer looks promising. I just hope it's not another hand-to-mouth teleserye, which is a trouble with most shows these days. Kris mentioned in her morning show "Kris TV" that they've been working on this show for the past 7 months. If that's the case then the show is truly something to look forward to. It's not that I regularly watch teleserye shows, but I get irked when most shows get extended and then they lose much of the original plot. I hope "Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw" won't be one of those shows.

The show starts next week on primetime. 

A Secret Affair : Anne Curtis and Andi Eigenmann

Last year, the movie "No Other Woman" surprised everyone when it became a phenomenal box-office success. That included me naturally. Although I must admit that I never got to watch the said film, my mom did with a friend. She later on commented that it was way better than "The Mistress" which starred Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz. 

"No Other Woman" made Anne Curtis and Cristine Reyes box-office queens. It even won a Famas best actress award for Anne Curtis. Amazing! I still don't quite understand the fascination of the general public for movies with themes about love and betrayal.

Today, "A Secret Affair" opens in cinemas. This time around it stars Anne Curtis once again, but with Andi Eigenmann as her main rival. I think Anne has proven herself to be quite an actress, so I'm guessing it's Andi's turn to prove her own in this film. It's good to see her making such a comeback since her controversial and unexpected pregnancy last year. Not many actresses are given such a chance. 

Andi Eigenmann is also doing well in primetime TV show "Kahit Puso'y Masugatan" where she plays the bratty Veronica. I think the role really suits her. The movie "A Secret Affair" may just be her big comeback project.

"A Secret Affair" has all the ingredients of a talked-about movie -- quotable quotes, direct confrontation scenes -- some elements that seem to hold the public's interests. Top it in with gorgeous looking actors and sizzling hot scenes.. voila! I admit it's a pretty intriguing movie that I'd like to watch. 

28th Star Awards for Movies (2012)

This event happened a few months back, but I remembered posting these scanned photos of Anne Curtis and KC Concepcion because of the latest news that their movie together wouldn't push through anymore. Aww, I'm a bit disappointed 'coz I can't wait to watch KC's next movie. Nonetheless, I'm quite pleased that KC will be in a soap opera with Judy Ann Santos.

KC's gown is by Cebu-based designer Cary Santiago. Anne looks stunning whenever she dresses up in old Hollywood glamour. ^_^

Anne Curtis Wears Francis Libiran for America's Next Top Model

The screenshots are from a Youtube video with the same title. Amazing indeed! The gowns look totally fabulous. Francis Libiran designs great looking gowns. Mark Nicdao is an excellent photographer. To top it all, Anne Curtis is the model for the lovely gowns. I wonder if and when this segment will be shown 'coz I sometimes enjoy watching "America's Next Top Model" (minus all the girls' dramas of course.) Nonetheless, I love seeing the final products of each shoot.

Lady in Red -- Anne Curtis

For me, Anne Curtis is truly a fashionista. It seems she can pull off whatever color of the gown she is wearing. After seeing her in these lovely red gowns, I now understand why my daughter also chose red for her prom night gown. ^_^ After her very successful concert and aside from her daily show "It's Showtime!" I wonder what's the next TV or movie project for Anne Curtis?

Annebisyosa: No Other Concert

Dreams do come true. Well at least they did for Anne Curtis. She staged a successful concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum last January 28th. Wow! To think that one cannot really consider Anne a great singer.. but you must admit she's pretty much a performer! The rest of the pics showed how much fun the concert was.

Teleserye Posters 2

The star-studded sequel to the popular "Maging Sino Ka Man" telenovela that left some memorable lines from Sam Milby and Anne Curtis. Their romance also supposedly also started during the first series. But if there's one tandem I would want to watch on TV again, it would be Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz. 

"Tayong Dalawa" was another star-studded telenovela. Agot Isidro's performance was outstanding. The ending (with Rosanna Roces and Enchong Dee) was rather strange though. They probably thought of a sequel but never pushed through. And Coco Martin, from being second lead, has now become one of the most sought after leading men.

Jasmine Curtis-Smith is the younger sister of local Philippine showbiz 'Diyosa' Anne Curtis. Jasmine is a contract star of TV5 and stars in the TV adaptation of popular 90's film "Ang Utol Kong Hoodlum," where she stars opposite leading man JC De Vera.
