Star Magic Ball 2012 -- Empress Schuck

Empress Schuck wears Mara Chua to the Star Magic Ball 2012. Empress has come a long way from being a child star into a full-grown young woman.

Empress is one of the finest young actresses today. She starred in hit afternoon series "Mundo Man Ay Magunaw" and horror flick "Amorosa." 

I wonder what next project would Empress be working on? I hope she graduates from teeny bopper roles and gets to play more mature ones just like Julia Montes in "Walang Hanggan."

Last year, the movie "No Other Woman" surprised everyone when it became a phenomenal box-office success. That included me naturally. Although I must admit that I never got to watch the said film, my mom did with a friend. She later on commented that it was way better than "The Mistress" which starred Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz. 

"No Other Woman" made Anne Curtis and Cristine Reyes box-office queens. It even won a Famas best actress award for Anne Curtis. Amazing! I still don't quite understand the fascination of the general public for movies with themes about love and betrayal.

Today, "A Secret Affair" opens in cinemas. This time around it stars Anne Curtis once again, but with Andi Eigenmann as her main rival. I think Anne has proven herself to be quite an actress, so I'm guessing it's Andi's turn to prove her own in this film. It's good to see her making such a comeback since her controversial and unexpected pregnancy last year. Not many actresses are given such a chance. 

Andi Eigenmann is also doing well in primetime TV show "Kahit Puso'y Masugatan" where she plays the bratty Veronica. I think the role really suits her. The movie "A Secret Affair" may just be her big comeback project.

"A Secret Affair" has all the ingredients of a talked-about movie -- quotable quotes, direct confrontation scenes -- some elements that seem to hold the public's interests. Top it in with gorgeous looking actors and sizzling hot scenes.. voila! I admit it's a pretty intriguing movie that I'd like to watch. 

Star Magic Ball 2012 -- Kim Chiu

Kim Chiu wears Edwin Tan to the 2012 Star Magic Ball. Kim's fashion sense does amaze me. I guess she's fast becoming another fashionista in the making. Being tall and slim has its advantages indeed.

Kim Chiu is one of the few stars that are always visible so to speak. Just earlier in the year, her series "Binondo Girl" ended and here she is starring in another one "Ina, Kapatid, Anak" with Maja Salvador, Enchong Dee, and Xian Lim among others.

Kim is also part of the cast of 24/7 in Love. I believe it's her reunion project with former loveteam Gerald Anderson.

Star Magic Ball 2012 -- Maja Salvador

Maja Salvador wears Eric delos Santos to the 2012 Star Magic Ball. Maja currently topbills the newest telenovela on primetime TV "Ina, Kapatid, Anak" with Kim Chiu, Enchong Dee, and Xian Lim among others.

Maja's break up with Matteo Guidicelli is a bit of a sad news since Matteo even had a controversial brawl with Coco Martin in last year's Star Magic Ball. 

I recently also saw Maja is part of a star-studded 20th anniversary movie offering of Star Magic. I think it's called 24/7 in Love. Funny how it reminds me of star-studded Hollywood movie Valentine's Day.

Star Magic Ball 2012 -- Shaina Magdayao

Shaina Magdayao wore red in last year's Star Magic Ball. This year Shaina wears Amir Sali to the Star Magic Ball 2012. 

Shaina is looking good despite her controversial split up with John Lloyd Cruz. Her afternoon TV show "Kung Ako'y Iiwan Mo" also seems to be doing good. Shaina plays opposite Jake Cuenca in the afternoon series. I'd say their team up looks good.

Star Magic Ball 2012 -- Jessy Mendiola

I remember that Jessy Mendiola's gown last year was a bit daring. This year Jessy wears Nat Manilag to the Star Magic Ball 2012. I think she looks really fantabulous in her overall get up. 

Jessy has not been on primetime TV since starring in "Budoy." At least that's the last that I remember seeing her in. But it's a good thing she was one of the casts of the movie "The Reunion." Her upcoming TV show is coming soon I believe as I keep seeing the trailer and I don't stay in front of the boob tube that long. I'm not sure if the show will be called "Isla" or "Paraiso" but it's the first time that Jessy will be playing opposite Matteo Guidicelli. The pairing is another experiment and I hope it clicks. My mom says that the two are rumored to be seeing each other currently. What I do remember is the rather controversial linking of Jessy Mendiola to another actor JM de Guzman.

Star Magic Ball 2012 -- Jewel Mische

Jewel Mische wears John Herrera to the Star Magic Ball 2012. I believe she has an upcoming Precious Heart Romances TV show together with Jessy Mendiola, Matt Evans, and Matteo Guidicelli.

It has been awhile since Jewel Mische has been seen visibly on TV. She made a switch last year, but has not really been that visible. Although she did get to play some nice roles like the show with Gerald Anderson and as third wheel to Erich Gonzales and Enchong Dee. I hope that she will be given more projects once her latest show comes out.
